A Letter From the Founders

Hello,

We are five people from different corners of the world, brought together by one shared goal: to make a meaningful impact on the world through the small, everyday choices we all make.

Laundry is something everyone does—through washing machines or by hand—but for a long time, we never really thought about it. It was just under the sink, something our parents bought, something we grabbed on autopilot.

Over time, we realized something important: millions of people have sensitive skin or irritation, often without realizing it comes from their detergent. Reading the labels, we saw chemicals we couldn’t even pronounce—things that touch the fabrics closest to our skin. That’s when we understood that laundry could be healthier, safer, and more mindful.

Looking at the market, we saw a gap: there wasn’t a plant-based alternative that truly cleaned. Many products prioritized the environment but compromised on performance, which is why there’s a stereotype that plant-based detergents can’t clean. We accepted the challenge. We experimented, visited manufacturing facilities, consulted labs, and studied solutions abroad. Our goal became clear: to create a truly deep-cleaning, plant-based solution that works without compromise.

We shared Lavella at pop-up stalls, listened to people’s experiences, and learned from their feedback. Those conversations shaped our product, and our community has been growing ever since. Every day, we are reminded that even ordinary routines—like laundry—can be acts of mindfulness and care for ourselves and the planet.
